"I’m sitting here in Granville on my last night after spending the past two days here, and I’m honestly sad to leave tomorrow. This was my first time visiting, but it absolutely won’t be my last. The locals have been nothing short of AMAZING, and there’s just something about this town that feels like home to me. You can truly see how loved this place is through the volunteers who so willingly give their time to preserve and pour into this special little town.
There’s something incredibly special about the history here; walking through a place that has held onto its roots and stories so beautifully. The architecture, the charm of the historic buildings, and the way everything seems to slow down make it feel like stepping back into a simpler time. And the lake views? Absolutely beautiful.
More than anything, Granville gave me something I didn’t realize I needed, the chance to truly disconnect from the busyness of everyday life, slow down, and just be present. It’s rare to find a place that feels peaceful, welcoming, and beautiful all at once, but Granville somehow does exactly that. This little town has definitely left a mark on my heart, and I already can’t wait to come back."

Granville Bed & Breakfast is delighted to unveil the Mayberry Hotel—a charming new destination where timeless nostalgia meets modern comfort. Whether you're a devoted Mayberry fan or simply seeking a cozy, memorable getaway, you’ll be swept up in its warm, vintage-inspired atmosphere paired with all the conveniences of today. Our vision is to enrich every visit to “Tennessee’s Mayberry Town,” creating an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly unique. The Mayberry Hotel can accommodate up to 6 guests with two spacious bedrooms with queen sized beds and a sleeper sofa.
On Opening Weekend, we were honored to welcome very special guests who helped bring that Mayberry magic to life. Among them were Allan Newsome—beloved for his portrayal of “Floyd the Barber”—along with his wife, Jan Newsome. We also had the pleasure of hosting Keith Thibodeaux, known to fans as Johnny Paul Jason from The Andy Griffith Show and “Little Ricky” from I Love Lucy, accompanied by his wife, Kathy. Their visit made our grand opening all the more memorable and meaningful.
Carter House is ideal for larger gatherings and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Three of the bedroom suites have king sized beds, and the fourth bedroom has two double beds. A comfortable sleeper sofa is also featured at the Carter House.
